Overview

Binder Park Zoo is a 433-acre zoo that opened in 1977 and is one of the largest zoos in Michigan with features like a large array of animals and plants, including the Wild Africa Exhibit. You can choose to feed a giraffe, take time to enjoy the open spaces of SkyLark Ridge, Binder Park Zoo invites you to slow down, look up, and experience nature the way it was meant to be. Next spend time at the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary & Zoological Gardens. A non-profit reptile rescue facility that cares for hundreds of unwanted, abandoned, or confiscated reptiles. The sanctuary provides lifelong homes and educational experiences for crocodilians and other exotic pet.
